This antique Victorian era white cotton soutache nightgown robe trousseau dates from 1890. It is made of a white fine cotton fabric, with applique white soutache needlework done in a floral vine leaf pattern on the top. This wonderful wedding bridal trousseau set includes a matching nightgown and robe. There is a loose fitting short chemise smock-frock shift style nightgown, with a wide scoop neckline, short cap sleeves, scalloped trim edging and a pleated bottom hem. The nightgown measures 40 inches long, with 60 inch hips, waist, a 46 inch bust and 18 inch arm hole openings. There is a long floor length robe style nightgown, with long full sleeves, fitted cuffs, pleating, scalloped trim and mother of pearl buttons all the way down the front for closure. The robe measures 50 inches long, with 54 inch hips, waist, a 42 inch bust, 17 inch back and 21 inch long sleeves. This lovely lingerie set is in excellent clean wearable condition.
