AIWA Scholarship Awards

AIWA scholarships provide a unique opportunity for donors to remember loved ones while at the same time providing much-needed financial assistance and recognition to young women preparing for their careers and professions. Beginning in 1997, with the establishment of the Agnes Missirian Scholarship Endowment, over 200 scholarships have been awarded to full-time female students of Armenian descent attending accredited colleges or universities in countries all over the world. Students entering their junior or senior year in college, as well as graduate students, are eligible to apply. Awards are based on financial need and merit. Scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are now available on our website, with a submission deadline set for mid-April 2024. Awards are announced in late May/early June. Scholarship awards are funded from endowments and from donations over one or many years.

  • Dates: Our application cycle for the 2024-2025 academic year is now open. Applications are due in mid-April. Awards are generally announced in May or early June.
