The 2009 BBC Music Magazine Awards nominee, Avri Levitan, is one of today's most outstanding soloists with wide international recognition.

Some of his concerts and musical activities for the seasons 2009/2010/2011 include concerts at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Maribor Festival, Auditorio Nacional Madrid, Art Center Seoul, Warsaw National Philharmonic, he performed with orchestras such as ORCAM Madrid under Maestro Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Orquestra de Murcia playing Mozart Sinfonia Concertante with Ilya Gringolts, Kiev National Philharmonic, Suwon Philharmonic, Nordic Symphony Orchestra, Lodz Philharmonic, and many other chamber and symphony orchestras worldwide.

An documentary K.364 a journey by train featuring Avri Levitans concert with the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, created by the famous artist Douglas Gordon, recently had screenings at the International Film Festivals in Venice, Toronto and Estoril.

Avri Levitan is the artistic director of the Calahorra International Chamber Music Festival in Spain.
In October 2010 he begun his engagement as a viola and chamber music professor at the Zaragoza Music Conservatory in Spain.

Born in 1973 in Tel Aviv, Avri Levitan studied viola under Professor Haim Taub. He graduated from the Rubin Tel Aviv Academy and achieved his Master degree at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris, in the prestigious "Cycle de Perfectionnement" program. During his studies, Avri Levitan was mentored by Pinchas Zukerman, Michael Tree (Guarneri Quartet) and Ivry Gitlis. Today lives in Berlin.
