	Vehicle history: The first owner bought the car in April 1978 and used the vehicle on an industrial area in the city of Sittard in the Netherlands. During this relatively short initial ownership the driver side door suffered from rust damage and was replaced with an Alfa red coloured door. From 1979 till 2008 it was owned by the Frijsinger Family from Sittard who have their own garage. For many years it functioned as a service vehicle. During this period the body colour was changed from the original colour "Corallo Torre del Greco" (orange) into yellow in line with the colours of the Frijsinger company. During the nineties the car was passed on from the father to his son and an extensive restoration was done. The pictures of this restoration can be viewed in the "My Giardinetta Project" section on this internet page. These pictures show how extensive this process was. The colour was changed from yellow to the Volkswagen purple colour "Dusty Mauve", the front seats were replaced with Alfasud TI QV ones, the engine was replaced with a 1500cc 105 BHP version coming from a first series Alfa 33 QV. The rear windows were blinded with a translucent purple foil. A central locking system in combination a Gemini alarm system and a huge stereo completed the transformation. The last yearly roadworthiness check ran out in 1999 so the vehicle hasn't been on the road for more than 10 years.
