Is Azu villa private?

Absolutely. You tower above two neighboring villas and behind you there are a few trees and an undeveloped hillside.

How far is Azu from the beach?

St. Jean beach is just below Azu villa, a short walk.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, children age 10 and older are welcome at Azu villa.

Does Azu have king-size beds?

Yes. Each bedroom has a king-size bed, private porch, and view of the sea. Each bedroom is air-conditioned and has its own large deck "outdoor room" and large ensuite bathroom, with showers that open dramatically, yet privately, onto the deck and the view.

Where is the nearest grocery store?

St Jean village is just below Azu villa (5 minute walk or less), with lots of shops and restaurants, but no supermarket. The largest supermarket is "Match", across from the airport, about a 5 minute drive. There are two smaller markets in the village of Lorient (the next village past St Jean) and another nice small market at the gas station across from the airport.


Will I need a car?

Although you can walk down from Azu to the beach, shopping and dining, you will probably want a car to explore the island.

Are there any restaurants within walking distance?

Yes, Andy's Hideaway, La Rotisserie and others are just below the property, while Nikki Beach and Eden Rock are a 5 minute walk more. There are several more in St Jean village.

Can I telephone home from Azu villa?

Local calls are free and unlimited. For international calling, we supply a phone card. You can buy additional cards at many island stores.

Does the villa have Internet service?

Yes, Azu villa has DSL high-speed internet service and a wireless network.

Does Azu have television?

Yes, the villa has a DVD home theater system and 50" plasma TV with a selection of movies. Also supplied is a Dish network satellite hookup with US networks and cable channels.

How do I find Villa Azu?

The villa is located in St Jean. Starting from the airport, drive toward the beach and take the road past Eden Rock Hotel, continue around the corner, taking the road to the left (the route to Lorient). Watch for the pharmacy on the right (you will see a green cross sign); look for the second driveway on the right after the pharmacy, about 100 meters. It has yellow entry posts. Follow this private drive up to the top; there are 3 villas on the private road.

Is maid service included?

Yes, the maid will clean the villa 6 days a week. If you wish to see the maid less often, just ask - extra towels are always available.
