Points of interest in the area, which may be reached within fifteen to thirty minutes, include Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna, the Bologna Centrale Railway Station, the Trade Fair District, the old city centre of Bologna with its characteristic medieval and renaissance architecture featuring the famous Bolognese arcades, the Morandi Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the Carducci House, the Civic Medieval Museum, the Basilica of San Petronio, the Basilica of San Luca, Dall’Ara Municipal Stadium, the University of Bologna, the Modern Art Gallery, Maggiore Hospital, Rizzoli Hospital, Villa Erbosa Nursing Home.

Other points of interest about ten minutes away: the Palamalaguti in Casalecchio di Reno (a sports facility which hosts numerous sports and cultural events and concerts featuring internationally prominent names), Ikea, Villa Chiara Nursing Home, Isokinetic, Bologna Football Club Sports Centre, Piccolo Paradiso Sports Centre.

Link with central Bologna: Bus line 92 (stop 50 metres from B&B) at intervals of 15 to 30 minutes, travel time 25 minutes.

Link with Bologna Centrale Station: Bologna-Porretta-Pistoia railway line (Sasso Marconi station is 450 metres from the B&B) at intervals of thirty minutes, travel time 20 minutes.

Motorway exit on the A1 Sasso Marconi exit 900 metres from the B&B. Travel time to Bologna Sud 10 minutes.

How to get to us by car:

If heading north on the A1, go past the Bologna Sud/Casalecchio di Reno exit, and about 8 Km. farther on, exit at Sasso Marconi.

If heading south on motorway A1, continue past the Rioveggio exit, and exit about 10 Km farther on at Sasso Marconi.

After the exit, turn right at the roundabout onto the bridge over the Reno. After the bridge, turn right into Via Porrettana. Go past four traffic lights (three of them are very close together). After the fourth traffic light, you will find the B&B about fifty metres along the road on your right. Look for the “Speedy Pizza” sign.

You will find everything you need in the neighbourhood: shops, supermarkets, local and exclusive restaurants, public offices, public transportation and emergency services are all close at hand.
