Today marks the 25th anniversary of the last performance by ABBA that has been seen by the public. On 16 January 1986 Agnetha, Frida, Björn and Benny came together for the first time since December 1982 to perform Stig Anderson’s 1947 hit composition ‘Tivedshambo’, when ABBA’s former manager was celebrated on Swedish TV’s Här ar det liv (This is your life), broadcast on 18 January.

Of course it’s not the last ABBA performance. The four have come together a few times to sing at friends’ birthday parties, most famously at Görel Hanser’s 50th birthday party in June 1999.
