Lucy Wilk

Lucy Wilk has worked as a Mechanical Designer at Hanson Professional Services for three years. She obtained her Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Central Florida in 2019. During her time at UCF, Lucy served as the President of the ASHRAE UCF Student Branch.

As an active member of the Central Florida Chapter of ASHRAE Lucy has previously served as the chapter’s Membership Promotion Chair and is currently the Chapter President-Elect.

Ryan Vaccaro graduated from Temple University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. During his senior year, Ryan was the President of the student chapter ASHRAE where he competed in the ASHRAE Design Competition for his senior design project. Currently the Central Florida Chapter Membership Promotion chair, Ryan works as a Sales Engineer with Validated Custom Solutions developing detailed HVAC solutions for engineers, owners, and contractors.

JAck Quigley

Jack Quigley is a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University (2021).  In 2017, Jack joined the ASHRAE@PURDUE student branch and Central Indiana chapter before relocating to Central Florida and joining the Central Florida Chapter serving as Secretary and sub-chair for YEA. 

Jack works at Validated Custom Solutions as a Sales Engineer with a focus on highly technical engineered solutions.

Mike Hassell

Mike Hassell has worked In the HVAC industry for nearly 15 years both in the Miami and Orlando markets.  Starting his career at Middleton and Associates, Inc. in Miami as an inside sales associate and leaving as Vice-President he now works for Integrated Cooling Solutions where he is a Sales Engineer with a focus on mechanical equipment for chilled and condenser water applications.  While originally a member of the Goldcoast Chapter he has been a member of the ASHRAE Central Florida Chapter since 2014 and has served as RP Chair, Treasurer, CTTC, President Elect and President.

Steve Tiernan

Steve has been an ASHRAE Member since 2017 and has become more involved since joining the Central Florida Chapter in 2019. An Alumni of Norwich University, Steve obtained his BSME and passed his FE Exam.


He has been on the Construction Management side of the industry since 2014 working on large commercial projects including several hospitals, hotels, a casino, central energy plants, multiple college and university projects, and various other commercial projects. Steve is originally from New Jersey before moving to New England and eventually finding his way to Central Florida.


MELISSA LANE

Melissa Lane has been a member of the ASHRAE Central Florida Chapter since 2018. During her time with the Central Florida Chapter, Melissa has served as the President-Elect, CTTC Chair, Secretary, Diversity in ASHRAE Chair, and Refrigeration Chair.

Melissa works at Carrier Corporation in Orlando as an Inside Sales Engineer. Melissa is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and received her Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (2017).

Taylor Lewis

Taylor Lewis, P.E., has been a member of the ASHRAE Central Florida Chapter since 2016. He served as President of the ASHRAE Central Florida Chapter in 2021-2022. He has also served as the chapter’s Webmaster and Electronic Communications Chair for the past 5 years.

Taylor works for Peninsula Engineering, Inc. in Orlando with responsibilities that include: Mechanical Design, Project Coordination, and BIM Management. Taylor is originally from Daytona Beach, FL. and received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Central Florida (2016).

Wade Conlan

Governor / honors and awards chair

Wade Conlan, P.E., BCxP, CxA, LEED AP BD+C has over 25 years of commissioning and design engineering experience and serves as Hanson's Commissioning and Energy Discipline Manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Penn State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states. He is active in ASHRAE and has held various positions at Chapter, Region, and Society Level including voting member of ASHRAE’s Epidemic Task Force leading the Building Readiness Team and just became a Director-at-Large for the ASHRAE Board.  He is currently a Governor and the Honors & Awards Chair for the Central Florida Chapter.  He is also Chair of ASHRAE GPC 1.6P, Commissioning Data Centers and voting member of TC7-9 Building Commissioning. Mr. Conlan has also received many ASHRAE awards including the Exceptional Service Award and a 2015 Technology Award.  Wade has led retro-commissioning and energy audits for over 60 million square feet of property worldwide.

Jason Alphonso

Jason Alphonso is a professional mechanical engineer (PE), Certified Mechanical Contractor (CMC), Mold-Related Services Assessor (MRSA), all licensed in the State of Florida, a AEE certified energy manager (CEM), and a USGBC LEED-Accredited Professional. He is also ASHRAE certified as an Operation and Performance Management Professional (OPMP) and a Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP). Mr. Alphonso was the 4th individual in the State of Florida to achieve the ASHRAE BEAP certification. Jason served as President for the Central Florida Chapter of the ASHRAE (2010-11), and has served ASHRAE at regional and society levels. At the society level, Jason was Past Chair of the Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) and Membership Promotion (MP) committee, and past voting member on the Strategic Planning and Finance committees. He also served on ASHRAE Technical Committee (TC-9.6), and currently serves on the Technical & Education Committee (TEC). In addition to ASHRAE, he also served 10+ years on the mechanical subcommittee of the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCEES), which is the committee responsible for the PE licensure examination. Jason has a Masters in Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, with graduate work in refrigeration and HVAC. He has 16+ years of experience in multiple facets of HVAC & R/Energy.
