Come molte banconote, anche quelle in EURO
appaiono differentemente se viste in luce bianca, nell'ultravioletto o
nell'infrarosso.
As many bank-notes do, also the EURO ones appear different if seen in white,
ultraviolet or infrared light.

Qui sotto si vedono le medesime banconote ma viste in luce ultravioletta. In
realtà quello che si vede è la fluorescenza, nel visibile, causata dalla luce
di Wood che le illumina.
Here below you can see the same notes but seen in ultraviolet light. In fact,
what you see is the fluorescence, in visible light, caused by the Wood light.
Da notare la bandiera gialla dell'Europa e le stelle rosse sul fronte e i
disegni gialli sul retro. Le pagliuzze, sia gialle che rosse sono visibili sia
sul fronte che sul retro.
You can observe the yellow flag of Europe and the red stars on the front and
the yellow drawings on the back. The small yellow and red straws can be
seen both on the front and on the back.

Qui sotto si vedono le medesime banconote ma viste in luce infrarossa. È
stata utilizzata una telecamera bianco e nero sensibile all'infrarosso.
Here below you can see the same notes but seen in infrared light. A black and
white sensitive to infrared camera has been used.
Da notare come i portali, che costituiscono i disegni sul fronte, siano
visibili solo in parte. Sul retro non è visibile alcun dettaglio. Il simbolo
€ illuminato nella striscia olografica della banconota da 5 EURO è un
riflesso.
You can observe that the portals, that constitute the drawings on the front,
are visible only in part. On the back cannot be seen any detail. The lighted €
symbol in the holographic strip of the 5 EURO note is a reflex.
