help ECU fault code 01314

My 2001 3 injectors a2 broke down friday RAC said it was the injection loom all though it was showing no fault they followed me back to the garage where I thought they would fix it however they have had it all day today and after me phoning and finding out that the only fault they can find is the ECU wich they cant fix Im a bit mithed they had the car all day not phoned me so I could run it to audi or anything sorry ranting

Any one no what the fault code is 01314 and do I need to go to Audi Sheffield to sort it.
also it looks like code001: 18074 P1666 valve for sporadic: Pump-injector cylinder- 1-N240 :electrical malfunction was regerstard yet when I picked the car up he said the ECU is now showing no fault.

Please help us to help you first by writing as clearly as you can, it's difficult to follow your unpunctuated rant!

That isn't particularly instructive as it implies that all it is telling you is that the ECU has stored further trouble codes, which we don't seem to have.

Can you describe the symptoms that surrounded the breakdown? You say the RAC followed you back - so presumably you were able to drive the car after the breakdown? How did it drive? What did it sound like? Did it throw any warning lights on the dash?

The injector wiring harness/loom is a common cause of failure in TDis - I've had one fail myself; it firstly manifested as occasional rough running, but it would come and go, then one day it went badly, you could tell it was running on 2 cylinders, the turbo went to limp home and two warning lights came on on the dash. No error codes were stored in the ECU though...

Can you get the ECU scanned by someone else with VAGCOM? Have a look on the Forum to see if there are any members near you with the software...
 
Sorry didnt know I was supposed to be a grammer student to ask for help! I whent to the thick school where they didnt start teaching you to read until you were due to leave.

it started loosing and gaining power so bad it droped to 60 in an instant all the break warning lights were lit i.e triangl caution, ABS warning, and the red circular warning light all lit up.
Got a guy going to re-check the ECU tomorrow.

Just a thought as an aside - could you check the passenger footwell - is there any water in there?

When I had my injector harness die, I did get similar symptoms, and as for warning lights, I also got the deadly trio of ABS and Traction Control lights, along with the Red Warning light in the DIS. However, I had 18075 logged as an error code.
