Getting Started Trading Text Links

The information below will help you begin using your account and should provide all the steps necessary to successfully activating your web pages within the BackLinks.com database.

To begin trading text links on your web page, log into your control panel and click on "Trade Links" in the left menu. If you are adding your first links page, you will see a Link Page Add form. If you have already added one or more link pages, you will see a list of your link pages.

Click the link titled "Trade Links" and then click the link titled "Add Link Page" and enter the details associated with the web page you will be adding text links to. Click on the "?" next to each item for more information.

Once you have added a link page to your account, click the button labeled "installation code". Select the type of web page you will be adding links to, it must use either PHP, ASP, Perl, or ASP.Net. Cut and paste the code into your web page where you would like the text links to be displayed. You can customize the look of the text links by clicking the "customize" button in your control panel. You can customize the font, color, background, layout, etc of the box where the text links will appear on your page.

Once the code is added to your web page, click the "Validate Web Page" link in the "Trade Links" section of your control panel. This will verify that our software is working correctly on your web page.

After your links page code is verified, you can begin trading text links on your web page. Click the button labeled "request new link partners". In this section you will be able to browse or search for text links according to keywords, Google pagerank and category.

If you have existing text links on your web pages or you would like to trade links with non BackLinks.com members, you may do so by clicks the "my link partners" button and then clicking on "add manual link". This will allow you to designate the URL and title of the link you want displayed on your web page.
