Maxima has seemingly found excuses to confiscate winnings and avoid paying large winners. A summary is below:

1. One player submitted a withdrawal when €100 short of the wagering requirement. Maxima confiscated the player's winnings due to violation of the term, "If you withdraw before having met the minimum wagering requirements, your bonus and winnings might be void."

2. When one player joined the casino, his country was not on the restricted list. After he made the withdrawal request, Maxima changed their terms to disallow players from the country. Again Maxima confiscated winnings.

3. One player used the bonus to play slots. The player had a large win. Maxima confiscated winnings on the grounds of "abuse." Details are still pending.

4. One player was labeled as a bonus abuser and had winnings confiscated because he only completed the minimum wagering (or so he has been told).
