  1. BCD - Brevetti Costruzioni Diesel
    1948
    In Turin, hearth of the Italian vehicle industry, the company "BCD - Brevetti Costruzioni Diesel" is established.
    The first parts for diesel engines begun to be manufactured: Automatic Spark Advance Variators, Couplings, Pneumatic Speed Governors.
    At the same time begun the first series of Piston pumps to feed the injection pumps; still today, a new range of Plunger pumps is included in production for original equipment.

  2. S.p.A. CORONA & C.
    1959
    Production is now focused to passenger cars, expanding the products' range with gasoline Diaphragm pumps, becoming quickly as one of the leading FIAT suppliers on these items.
    The company turns itself into a joint stock company as CORONA & C. SpA, keeping up the BCD brand for its flagship products.

  3. New production plant
    1961
    The fast production growth that occurred in these years requires more space.
    CORONA & C. moves at Cascine Vica, the rising industrial area of Rivoli on the outskirts of Turin, where a new factory is built and enlarged over the years.

    1970
    The wide range of items ready for delivery, including water pumps, is enhanced developing new product families, such as the Vacuum pump for servobrake on diesel cars.
    Addressed to sport cars of the 70s, begins the production of the first series of Electric fuel pumps.
    At the same time the range of diaphragm feed pumps is expanded, concerning all main European models.

    With the strong growth in exports, the commercial organization undergoes to a deep transformation, establishing an international distributors network bearing the BCD brand in the world, thus making CORONA & C. a reference company in the industry.

  6. New technologies
    1990
    The technology change in gasoline engines feeding, which over these years switches from carburetor to the injection, leads to develop a new series of high pressure Electric pumps that BCD-CORONA, after a demanding design phase and a long lasting testing on reliability, begins to produce and distribute as spare parts for the original equipment.

    2000
    The constant research for product improvement, already appreciated by mechanics for the excellent quality of BCD brand products and recognized by OE customers, drives CORONA & C. to certify its decennial quality system according to ISO 9001.
  8. Efficiency and competitiveness
    2003
    The "Vision 2000", plan to evolve the quality management systems, is faced as a challenge: the process review is carried out with an intensive optimization job, increasing the efficiency of manufacturing processes and business services, thus allowing greater market competitiveness.
    The results achieved enable BCD-CORONA to get ISO 9001:2000 certification by Bureau Veritas and to apply the ISO/TS 16949 for specific OE customers.

  9. Increased reliability
    2006
    The evolution of fuel supply systems leads us to develop products with higher performance and increased reliability, for the new generation of diesel engines involved in heavy-duty jobs for construction and agriculture.
    In these years we welcome many new OE and OEM customers for new engines.
  10. Aim high, look up
    2010
    New decade, new challenges. The quest to continuously improve the products, leads us to develop a pump for aeronautical use, overtaking several long and demanding tests on the ground and in flight.
