If you had spare money (to spend on customising) you should have spent it on something Japanese or European.
Trying to "tune" what will in all likely hood probably be an already unreliable bike is only going to make it worse.

I recommend spending the money on a decent set of tyres (Chinese rubber is invariably crap) and on some thread lock and anything else likely to make the bike future proof.

Sorry to rain or your parade, but at the end of the day a slow but reliable bike will be better than something with a bunch of performance parts, but doesn't move.

I don't want this to sound in any way sarcastic or condescending, after all it's your money and your choice how to spend it, but where's the logic in buying a cheap 'n' cheerful bike and then spunking loads of cash on it for no appreciable gains?

IMO, you'd be better off saving the cash towards your full licence and next bike. Use the Hongdou to get yourself some road and maintenance experience.
