Hurricane Katrina flooded Dixie with ten feet of water in 2005. Owners Joe and Kendra Bruno planned to reopen the brewery in time for its 100th anniversary in 2007. That didn't happen, and now their beers are brewed by Minhas Craft Brewery in Monroe WI. The original brewery site is being revived as a VA Hospital.

The new location opened after a 14-year local production hiatus on January 25, 2020, and they changed their name to Faubourg that November.
