Linear actuators are used to easily move things in push, pull, lift, lower, or straight in line direct forward, and backward mechanically movements.

Linear actuators generally consist of a DC motor connected to a screw drive through a set of gears. The screw drive is set inside of a tube which also has screw threads along the inside of the tube. When the motor turns, the screw turns inside the tube and (since the screw is firmly attached to the housing the screw can not move) the tube is moved in or out (depending on the direction of the motor's rotation).

This German made servo motor assembly consists of a gear motor with rubber wheel, and a potentiometer assembled inside a plastic housing.

Using a PWM driver board with feedback circuit, you can operate the Servo Motor Assembly as a standard PWM type servo or it can also be operated without the use of a PWM Servo board or controller, as a standard motor driven potentiometer and motor driver rotating rubber wheel. Rotation is limited to 60 degrees back and forth.

This Unique motor assembly requires a PWM servo control board if module is to be operate as a R/C Servo setup. PWM Controller not included with motor assembly. PWM controller board will need to have standard PWM signal as well as 5K ohm feedback circuit to simulate R/C servo control.
