• great steaks at the spotted dog, beautiful meat and for a very reasonable price, and a better children's menu than is available at most restaurants, will be returning again soon

• There is new owners at the spotted dog, and it has been turned into a Steak House, all steaks 28 day matured homemade chip plus all your old favourite come along and enjoy our new menu

• recently went back to the spotted dog after it was taken over by new management, we had a fabulous meal, the steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking and of high quality, and the chips were some of the best chips we've had at a restaurant. would recommend to anyone, good value for money and brilliant service, a vast improvement from our previous visits :)

• One of the best meals I have had in a long time, had to wait for our order but it was fresh cooked and the steak was wonderful-tasty and cooked to our liking. overall in this day and age good value for money. 2 for 1 on Tuesdays.

• slow service would have been worthwhile if the food had been good, but it was not,the garlic mushrooms were undercooked in a sauce that I do believe came out of a supermarket,the pasta garlic chicken must have been created in the same way,the pasta was overcooked and the chicken was very dry and tough,and the salad was about the same,my wife said that her cottage pie was bland and left most of it,on complaining as we left the waiter did not appear to care when I told him that I thought the chef should learn to cook and that I had tasted better ready made meals from a suppermarket,we did not get any form of an appology or offer of a reduction,the meal spoilt our day
