ABOUT US

Bob Richards and husband and wife Dave and Diana Cole of Big Bob’s Best Pizza have played an integral role in Ocean Ranch Center since its beginning in 2008. Our initial venture was a wildly successful deli which we sold in 2010 in order to pursue our passion for pizza and pasta. In 2011, Big Bob’s Best Pizza was established. Now, after many years in the same location, many of our loyal customers have now become valued friends!
 
Bob and Dave began planning a pizza partnership decades ago. Since college, Bob has operated and managed high-end Italian restaurants and busy pizza franchises, spending 15 years at one of the very best in Southern California. His 30+ years of experience in the industry are invaluable. As our chef and operations manager, Bob can handle a chaotic dinner rush without breaking a sweat or losing his patience and our employees and customers alike appreciate his easy-going demeanor. He is the glue that holds everything together and the face of our store.
 
Throughout the same period of time, Dave has done extensive research with his taste buds. He has happily taste-tested a vast number of pizzas by visiting a record number of pizzerias throughout the country. As Bob can attest, Dave has the inability to compromise on taste and quality. Actually, he has the inability to compromise, period, which greatly benefits our customers. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fresno and a 30+ year sales career in the food industry. But most importantly, Dave loves pizza!
 
Diana is the Accountant/Marketing Director/H.R. Manager for Big Bob’s, as well as a part-time Staff Accountant at a CPA firm. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University, Fresno and worked extensively at two major advertising agencies. When her kids were younger, she enjoyed freelancing and volunteering with all of their activities (PTA, Little League, Girl Scouts, youth football, etc.).
