Gloves. What can you say about them? Well, if they're the Alpinestars GP Pro gloves, you can say a fair bit of good things. I road race, so I need equipment that is going to provide the best protection possible. I also burn through about 1 set of gloves every year, so this year in looking at gloves, I looked into the Alpinestars.

My initial look into these gloves was after seeing a buddy with them. They looked very good, and unique. He has a tiny paw, so I couldn't put them on, but after checking them out I decided this was the glove for my 2005 race season.

I talked to Daniel of solomotoparts.com and a couple days later they were on my doorstep.

So, what to say about the gloves...

The initial impression is high. They are extremely soft Kangaroo skin, and are built very well. They have a double gauntlet enclosure which is pretty much standard on high-end race gloves. They also have padding in all the "right" spots (outside of pinkie, across pads of the palm, etc). Everything on them is double-stitched.
