  1. KOTOR 1 Community Patch

The K1 Community Patch (K1CP) is a compilation of previous bugfix mods and a multitude of new original fixes put together with the intention of resolving the many and various issues that KOTOR has. This includes some well-known game breaking bugs/softlocks, broken quests, inaccessible content, as well as lesser issues such as problems in conversations, visual inconsistencies, player annoyances, etc. The intention is for the changes to be as seamless as possible, fixing and improving things whilst still retaining the original developer intent.
A huge thanks to all of the mod authors who created these mods, and allowed them to be included in this patch! Unfortunately, the individual list of changes has grown far too long to be included in this post. However, you can view a detailed breakdown of each author's individual contributions in the included readme file and a summary of the changes the current version has made since the previous release in the changelog file.
    List of Contributing Authors (alphabetical):
A Future Pilot blennus danil-ch darthbdaman DarthParametric Ebmar Frykas Gimmick5000 jc2 JCarter426 Kainzorus Prime Kexikus KOTOR 1 Restoration Team Leilukin Markus Ramikin N-DReW25 ndix UR R2-X2 Red Hessian Salk th3w1zard1 Thrak Farelle WildKarrde Installation:
Run INSTALL.exe and navigate to your K1 install folder. Generally speaking, this mod should be installed before anything else, except mods that do hard edits/overwrites of 2DA, TLK or MOD (module) files.
Warning: Never run the installer from inside the archive! Always extract the archive onto your hard drive first.
N.B.: With the advent of version 1.10.0, K1CP has migrated away from the use of TSLPatcher and switched to HoloPatcher. This allows for additional patching functionality and resolves some bugs encountered with TSLPatcher. HoloPatcher is also multi-platform. The bundled installer is the Windows version, but Mac and Linux users can download the appropriate installer for their system here.
It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam.
    Translation:
The mod now has translations in French and Russian, available as separate patches. To use, first download the base K1CP v1.10.0 archive and extract it to your harddrive. Download your translation patch of choice and extract its contents into K1CP's tslpatchdata folder. Proceed to install the mod as normal.
    Compatibility/Known Issues:
K1CP uses module injection in an attempt to remain as compatible as possible with other mods. This may result in issues with mods that simply put files in the Override folder. It is recommended that you consult the individual authors of any large scale mods, particularly those that edit DLGs and scripts, as to whether their work is compatible with K1CP. Some mods will likely require updates, some may need to be installed in a specific order, whilst others may be fundamentally incompatible.
K1CP currently only supports the English language version of the game, and makes a number of edits to the TLK file in English. If anyone is able to provide translations of these changes to other languages, please let us know.
The KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R) mod is incompatible with K1CP, however there is ongoing work to re-create the K1R mod for K1CP: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2345-restored-content-for-k1cp-demo/
These are the currently known bugs/issues with KOTOR or the mod that the K1CP is looking to resolve:
    https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/K1_Community_Patch/issues
If you find any others, especially with changes/additions K1CP makes, please report them on the Github issue page or here on Deadly Stream so they can be addressed. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including a list of all the other mods you have installed, the order you installed them in, steps to reproduce the problem, along with screenshots and save files, if appropriate. You may also be directed to provide the install log file, a list of the contents of your Override folder, and specific MOD files from your modules folder.
    Uninstallation:
Given the complexity of this mod, a clean install of KOTOR is the recommended approach for uninstalling K1CP. However, HoloPatcher does provide uninstall Shell (Bash) and PowerShell scripts which will work as long as K1CP was the most recent mod installed.
    Permissions:
Due to this mod being a compilation from many different authors, please do not distribute/rehost it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    WARNING: IN ALMOST ALL CASES, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL THE K1R RESTORATION BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!! THE ONLY EXCEPTION SO FAR IS KAINZORUS PRIME'S NPC OVERHAUL...
    The KotOR 1 Restoration Mod is an attempt to restore almost all the content that was cut from the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by BioWare Corp. Of course, these restorations will be within reason and things that were cut because they did not fit with the plot, and cannot be made to fit with the plot, will most definitley NOT be restored.
    » INSTALLATION
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An installation which involves the TSL Patcher has been made ready for your use and is the simplest and easiest way to carry out installation.

Alternatively, a secondary installer has been made for convenience. It will not patch the files like the TSL Patcher will, but it should be less of a headache for most users. HOWEVER, IT WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!!

Note: The K1R team is not responsible for any incompatibility issues that may arise from the use of this mod in conjunction with other mods. Also, in order to provide the best feedback for us we recommend that you play K1R with NO other mods installed.

Note 2: If using the TSL Patcher AND your game is in English, before installing, copy the dialog.tlk file bundled with this package into the KotOR directory. This will give you the grammar and typo fixes to the vanilla text.

  3. KotOR1 - Improved AI

Improves the AI of KotOR 1.
    Changes:
    - Companions and most other NPCs use blaster feats (except droids their animations are buggy)
    - Enemy forceusers now use Force Breach and Lightsaber Throw (previously the AI ignored these force powers completely)
    - Enemy forceusers now use force buffs more often (Force Speed, Force Armor ect...)
    - NPCs with the Force Jump feat actually do force jumps if they are further than 10m from the target
    - Enemys reactivate shields after 200s
    - Some minor bug fixes
    - Jedi Support AI reworked
    - NPCs use Master Rapid Shot or Master Flurry if available instead of the default attack
    - NPCs use the highest level of feats and force powers available to them
If you upgrade from version 1.0.3 or earlier delete all files with .utc file extension from your Override folder that were included in those versions.

  4. [KotOR] Dialogue Fixes

In an attempt to salvage some material from the now defunct SW:KotOR Upgrade project, I have decided to share this modification with the community.
This file is meant to replace the original dialog.tlk that comes with the original game. It is meant to be used exclusively with the English version of the game.
It is technically compatible with every other modification that alter this same file by patching it, provided this is installed first.
Two versions are offered: one that includes only corrections and a revised one that includes most of the changes found in the PC Response Moderation modification by Kainzorus Prime.
    Enjoy!

  5. [KotOR] Swoop Bike Upgrades

This modification comes from a (very reasonable) request made by Snigaroo, lamenting the fact that in the original game it's not possible to improve the performance of the game's swoop bike despite evidence that upgrades should be available. I introduced two of them and made them available in two different stores. They can be purchased to help those who struggle to make good times on Tatooine's and Manaan's race circuits. They don't come cheap, but they are certainly a great asset for any aspiring swoop racing champion.

  6. Stronger Ajunta Pall

    This mod buffs Ajunta Pall.
Do you guys remember the epic moment when you first fight the Great Ajunta Pall? No? Neither do i. Ajunta is a little B who dies in one hit, even though he is supposed to be a powerfull ancient Sith Lord. So... I buffed him a tiny bit.
    Have fun!
The mod only works if he hasn't spawned in yet.

  8. Unique Sith Governor

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.0.0 Release Date: 14.05.2023

    Installation:
Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.

    Description:
The Sith Governor is an NPC you encounter towards the end of Taris, in the vanilla game he uses the 'Dark Jedi Apprentice' appearance which is seen throughout the game as a generic enemy. The appearance of the Dark Jedi Apprentice NPCs is very similar to the appearance of Darth Bandon, an NPC you find later on in the game.
Whilst the game doesn't explicitly say this, we can assume that the Sith Governor NPC is a non-Tarisian foreigner who was appointed to his position by his superior Dark Jedi. The Governor mentions he doesn't yet own a Lightsaber, suggesting he's only an Apprentice. Dialogue with various NPCs across Taris suggests that the Sith Governor is the absolute dictator of the Sith occupation on Taris as he most likely signs up any law the Tarisians have to abide by and has the absolute authority to do whatever action he wants to govern his planet.
For an NPC with such authority on Taris, why would he look like every other Dark Jedi Apprentice you see in the game? And since the Dark Jed Apprentice looks like Darth Bandon, it lessens the 'impact' both NPCs have on the player. You see the Sith Governor... he isn't unique, he looks like Darth Bandon! You see Darth Bandon... he isn't anything special, he looks like that weak Sith Governor.
This mod was requested by the user "Sniggles", the one who maintains the Kotor Mod Builds on Reddit, to fix that problem. With this mod installed, the Sith Governor shall wear a unique Sith Governor's uniform based on the vanilla Sith Officer uniform and shall have a unique head model capable of displaying the mask item he wears making his appearance totally unique from Darth Bandon.
This mod was originally going to be included as part of a bigger Sith Officer uniform mod, though with the prospect of Sniggles adding it to the Kotor Mod Builds and the fact some players might prefer this small mod over a big Sith Officer mod, I have since decided to release this feature separately.

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream.
If the player and/or party is wearing a mask item, it is possible that the Sith Governor's mask item might be rendered invisible. This is a bug in the Game's engine and cannot be fixed.

    Incompatibilities:
    Please report any incompatibilities!
If you have "Invisible Headgear" installed the Sith Governor's mask shall also be invisible.

    Permissions:
Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission.
As per Heyorange's readme, assets from the Sith Uniform mod are free to use as long as Heyorange is properly credited.

    Thanks to:
Heyorange: For creating the Sith Uniform Reformation mod, for which the Sith Governor's uniform is based on!
    Sniggles: For requesting the mod!
Bioware: For such an amazing game!
Obsidian: For giving Colonel Tobin a Dark Side transition, this skin was used as a basis for the Sith Governor's Dark Side transition!

The green Czerka Officer texture from the Czerka Commander has been repurposed as a standard Czerka Officer profession skin whilst former Czerka Commanders now use armor. 10. Merged Visor Models - Modder's ressource

This mod is a modder's ressource, it does not introduce any item into the game, there is not item sheet related to the models, there is no custom skin for the models.

    Description and content

This mod packs 71 mask model variants, merging the vanilla visors from the game as best as possible. Every models bear the vanilla textures and should not conflict with any items in game.

There is no icons provided. Every models are referenced in a specific folder and inside the folder is a .Jpg that you can open to display the model.
I packed every vanilla textures for the masks as an additional folder.

    How to use this
Here is my video tutorial about modeling, very basic but it might help you out : Basic model merging and editing tutorial

    - You can make them a brand new items in game, modifying the model variation and adding a custom icon.
    - You can make customized skins with the provided textures, by modifying the texture names related to the models using Blender or other softwares.
    - You can use them, either to make them placeables, or add them to npc models using Blender or other softwares.
    - Anything that comes to your mind if you have the abilities !

Feel free to use anything from this mod, this is extracted from the base game and this is my own edits. Just credit me somewhere.

    Disclaimers

    - I tried to make sure every geometry pieces from every masks had unique names, so they shouldnt conflict with anything and between each other at 95%. However,
this is a lot of visors and i might have forgotten some, so it might be useful to double check before using one with Blender.
    - My modeling abilities are limited, so be forgiving about the models i pulled out. I tried my best so they look as fine as possible in game,
but there might be some clipping or other visual artifacts i may have missed.
    - I do not know how animations and animation roots work, so there might be something wrong here even though everything display fine in game still.

    Credits

Every kotor members that helped me during the modding journey.
Bioware for their work and base game models.

  11. Thematic The One

    Thematic The One
    Premise
The One: warlord; conqueror; latent Force-Sensitive. A charismatic leader of the Rakata and a near-supernatural anomaly among their people. As an added bonus, he also dies in about two combat rounds!
In fairness, with a good character build there’s very little that doesn’t go down in two rounds or less in the lategame. But The One in particular irks me—he’s presented as special, a natural leader in Revan’s own mold, a warrior-prince leading both armies and the political structure of his people. Yet despite having all the resources of the hundreds of islands he has conquered and dozens of crashed vessels he has looted, indeed despite having a Sith Tremor Sword in a bin literally RIGHT BEHIND HIM, he uses two regular vibroblades; despite being so charismatic he convinced his own former chieftain to willingly sacrifice himself and allow his tribe to cannibalize him while being so brick-headed he’s sat on a single island for half a decade, his WIS is 18 while his CHA is only 12; and despite being latently Force-Sensitive, his Will saves are abysmal. This was a ripe field for a Thematic project.
Like my similar mod for KOTOR 2, Thematic The One’s goal is not to make the fight against The One actually challenging—this is not a difficulty mod. The fight will be slightly harder than in vanilla, yes, but for some builds this change will not even be noticeable; indeed, I took him out in two combat rounds just like normal. Instead, the goal is to present The One as the game insists he is: a charismatic warrior with vast resources and the—albeit unconscious—power of the Force behind him.

    Changes
The One’s WIS and CHA stats have been nearly inverted, from 18/12 to 14/18; he has been given a Sith Tremor Sword in his main hand and an Echani Vibroblade in his off-hand (neither droppable); his Will saves have been bumped up to 15, to make him about as difficult as an average Dark Jedi to land Force abilities against; his alignment has been moved from Neutral to moderately DS, so that the Solari crystal will work against him; and, most significantly, he has been scripted to use Force Valor at the start of the fight with him. I felt this was important to represent exactly how close The One is to true Force Sensitivity, and how it’s clear that the Force has been supporting his meteoric rise from the start.

    Compatibility
As is the objective with all Thematic-series mods, this mod should be compatible with every other mod out there. Even mods that edit The One should be compatible, as long as they edit his data in the module rather than with a direct .utc file drop to the override; at worst, such a mod would only replace some of my changes with its own.

    Permissions & Thanks
As with any mod “I” have made or will make in the future, this mod has completely open permissions: modify it, redistribute it, reupload it, do whatever. So long as you give me credit for the idea and for the balance settings if you choose to retain most of mine, go for it. You don’t even need to ask me.
Particular thanks to JCarter426, who made this entire mod at my request but then told me it would be funnier if I uploaded it like it was my own. Ok.

  12. KotOR: Balance in the Force

KotOR 1: Balance in the Force
    v1.0.1

    Core Concept
The big idea present in both versions of this mod is updated and more balanced gameplay and a streamlined leveling experience with its sequel KotOR 2. The most prominent change is that I've rebalanced the base weapon types and heavily increased the damage for ranged weapons.
Additionally, the Auto-Level Feature was removed due to it shorting the player Force Powers under certain conditions. Recommended level up features have been updated to add a more consistent experience for first time players. I've also removed some overpowered force powers that trivialize the difficulty of the game such as Knight Speed, Master Speed, and Improved Energy Resistance.
Balance in the Force also contains a number of quality-of-life features that can been found in other mods as well that make sense here. For example, all of the classes have been modernized to KotOR 2’s feat, power progression, and attack bonus progression, persuasion is a class skill for the main character regardless of starting class, impossible difficulty has been restored, and Intelligence now rounds up instead of down for gaining skill points during level up.
An alternate version of the mod called the Radical Jedi Version, is also included. The idea In this version is to address the need/desire to save levels on Taris in order to create a more optimal character after cross-classing on Dantooine. Here, I’ve made the Jedi Sentinel a main character exclusive class and updated the dialogue on Dantooine to lock players into it. To encourage players to level normally, the Jedi Sentinel stops gaining feats and powers after 12 levels but in exchange, players have the option to choose the exclusive Guardian and Consular feats while leveling.  Furthermore, it gains increased force points and all 21 of its career force powers in those 12 levels as well. In this version, Bastila has her class changed to Consular to accommodate this.
    Tips
There is a noticable and unavoidable difficulty spike in the beginning of the game. With blasters being tuned up in terms of damage, enemies can cook you with them early on before you have enough HP to survive them. Thankfully there is an in game solution to this problem. Remember, when Larim aggressively tries to sell you an energy shield at the beginning of the game, that's because they are useful now.

  13. Jedi From The Start

Revises the opening of the game, so that the player may begin as a Jedi Apprentice, in a seamless, lore-friendly manner. Removes all fourth wall breaking tutorial messages from the game.

    Description
Upon starting the game, instead of Trask waking the player, you will be presented with new dialogue options to potentially select a Jedi Class.
You may choose to remain as your base class, and become a Jedi on Dantooine as normal, if you wish.

If you choose to become a Jedi, you will immediately level up, and be able to acquire your new feats and powers.
Starting equipment has been adjusted, and will be generated after this level up, allowing your new feats and skills to be accounted for.
Jedi characters are given a crystal in their footlocker, and can build a Lightsaber at the workbench. They choose its style and color there.

You then proceed through the Endar Spire sequence as normal, albeit without Trask. Out of character tutorial messages have all been removed.
Jedi characters will have a new Lightsaber duel, and recieve additional items.

Early dialogues with party members and NPC's have been adjusted to accurately reflect whether the player is a Jedi or not.
Additional Force Persuade checks have been added to many of the characters found throughout Taris.
A new path to purchase T3-M4 before completing the Swoop Race, through a Force Persuade check, has been added. This is available to non-Jedi through Persuade as well.

Upon arriving on Dantooine, the opening dialogue with the council is altered slightly.
The inital training sections, from the Jedi Code to Lightsaber construction is removed, and the player is immediately tasked to Cleanse the Tainted Grove.
After this point the game proceeds as normal, without major alterations.

If the player chooses not to become a Jedi at the start of the game, then very little changes, besides the removal of Trask and tutorial messages.
On Dantooine, a non-Jedi player will be able to construct a Double-bladed or Short Lightsaber, and choose the color of their lightsaber freely.
They will also be given an Apprentice robe after constructing a Lightsaber.

    Install/Uninstall

Run the installer.exe file. If you are on Linux or Mac, appropriate HoloPatcher installers can be found on DeadlyStream.

If updating from a version from before v4.0.0, you must reinstall your game to properly uninstall the mod. You cannot install this mod on top of an old version.
You must start a new game after updating to this version. The mod has been substantially reworked.
There is a version setup for a manual installation. This version cannot be used with most other mods. It is not recommended. You cannot use this with the Community Patch. Your game will break

See the docs folder for more information.

    Compatibility
Most mods should be compatible, unless they make major edits to the Endar Spire, Taris NPC dialogue, or Dantooine Jedi Training.
Fully compatible with KotOR 1 Community Patch. Install Jedi from the Start after. Fully compatible with Unofficial K1CP Tweak Pack. Do not install the "tar02_janice021.dlg" or "tar09_recept091.dlg" files from Persuade Fixes. They will remove my Force Persuade checks, and Jedi from the Start includes equivalent changes. Fully compatible with Restored Content for K1CP. Install Jedi from the Start after. Fully compatible with Taris Dueling Arena Adjustment. Fully compatible with JC's Jedi Tailor. Fully compatible with Carth's Republic Uniform and Flight Suit. SWToR Style Training Sabers will overwrite my changes to the Dantooine Lightsaber Training, but should not cause any issues. Not compatible with KotOR 1 Restoration. This mod is increasingly outdated. Use Restored Content for K1CP instead. Not compatible with Tutorial Remover. This mod includes its functionality. Not compatible with Trask Ulgo Without Tutorials. Not compatible with Recruit T3-M4 Early. This mod includes equivalent functionality. Not compatible with JC's Robe Adjustment. This mod includes most of its functionality. Recommended Mods
KotOR 1 Community Patch is strongly recommended. JC's Jedi Tailor is highly recommended. Thanks to JC for letting me include most of his Robe Adjustment mod. JC's Extra Saber Colors is highly recommended. You will be able to choose additional lightsaber color options when you create a character with this mod installed. Consular Sentinel Class Skill Swap (or KotOR 1 Community Patch which includes it) is recommended if you want the Sentinel class to be somewhat meaningful. Trask Ulgo Without Tutorials is recommended if you want a vanilla friendly tutorial remover instead. Special Thanks/Acknowledgements

  14. Brotherhood of Shadows: Solomon’s Revenge Textural Reinterpretation

Created by: Sith Holocron (and others listed in the credits section)
Game: Knights of the Old Republic 1
    Version 1.0 Uploaded: 20 MAY 2024

The Brotherhood of Shadows: Solomon’s Revenge Textural Reinterpretation mod was designed to upscale and/or enhance the textures seen in the mod.  It is an extensive mod pack (as might be indicated by the size) but as seen listed below, it is not a complete overhaul.
Just a note:  I have included upscales of the loading screen.  However, if someone wants to take at recreating the loading screen in color, I thoroughly support that effort. I say “load screen” rather than “load screens” as the same loading screen is used for all of the BOS:SR areas.
On N_DarthRevan01 (TGA and TXI): The mod doesn’t appear to add anything notable to this skin and the game already has this one available. Though I upscaled the texture, you may safely discard it if you covet another texture instead. If folks do want to change the texture of the traditional Darth Revan, there are so many fine reskins available. In addition, I suggest researching the Flowing Robes mod when researching alternate textures.
    What’s not included and why:
All textures with the header m80, m81, or m82. As upscaling these textures will not improve their quality, I have not done so. You should leave these textures in the Override as-is.
fx_Smoke02.tga: Upscaling this texture will not improve the quality. Leave this texture in the Override as-is.
Skybox textures (trs_Bsky01.tga, trs_bsky01.txi, trs_sky0001, trs_sky0002, trs_sky0003, trs_sky0004, trs_sky0005, wst_sky0001, wst_sky0002, wst_sky0003, wst_sky0004, wst_sky0005, zzz_sky0001, zzz_sky0002, zzz_sky0003, zzz_sky0004, zzz_sky0005): I highly recommend using Kexikus’ mod instead of using the skyboxes included with the Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon’s Revenge mod. (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/723-high-quality-skyboxes-ii/) However, if you insist on using the original skyboxes, you’ll be able to find them in the folder named “Original BOS Skyboxes.” From what I have seen in game, both the original skybox textures and my upscaled versions of them are NOT compatible with Kexikus’ skybox mod for BOSSR. If you encounter issues, you have been forewarned.
Shadow’s textures I have not made upscales for the character and clothing textures for “Shadow”. I highly recommend using Dark Hope’s mod instead.
All added portrait textures: I have not made upscales for any of the added portrait textures for the portraits added with BOS:SR. I highly recommend using ndix UR’s portrait mod instead.

    Installation:
The “twilek_m02d.tga” texture has been both upscaled and converted to be compatible with Ashton Scorpius’ mod “K1 Better Male Twilek Heads” and requires its use to work properly. Make sure that mod is downloaded and installed according to its installation directions before installing mine. That mod can be found here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1430-k1-better-male-twilek-heads/
After reading the caveats implied in the “What’s not included and Why” section, then add all of the textures you’ll be using into your Override folder. Allow my textures to override the files there. There are 3 TPC files in my mod:  aaa_bla01.tpc, fff_lobla01.tpc, and ooo_lobla01.tpc.  Make sure to delete the TGA and TXI files of the same name in the Override folder.
I won’t be providing an uninstall guide as the shear number of files that’ll be replaced defies an easy way to explain it.
    Thanks / Credits:
I have used a few of the textures from Dark Hope’s “international Global Mod” who has kindly provided blanket permission for their use.  Thanks to Dark Hope for allowing me to do so here.
n_sithcomf01, n_sithcomf02, and n_sithcomf03 in the Optional textures folder is derived from textures from Thor110’s ”Topaz GigaPixel AI Upscales - K1 1.0.0.” Thanks to Thor110 for providing his upscales to the community as a Modder’s Resource. https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2160-topaz-gigapixel-ai-upscales-k1/
The “twilek_m02d.tga” texture has been both upscaled and converted to be compatible with Ashton Scorpius’ mod “K1 Better Male Twilek Heads” and requires its use to work properly. That mod can be found here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1430-k1-better-male-twilek-heads/
Thanks to Ashton Scorpius for his permission to use his Twi’lek male head template to fix this texture.
Any issues with this mod – other than the previously stated skybox issue with Kexikus’ BOSSR skybox mod – can be left here on the download page. Please tag me when reporting those errors as that will speed up the timeliness of my reply. Thank you.
    Enjoy the mod.
(This section reserved for when I get around to making an overview video for this mod.)

I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop - with the exception of Hassat Hunter who has my permission to do so.
I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use.

  15. Finesse: Melee Weapons and misc. fixes

This adds functional Melee Weapon Finesse (melee weapon Attack increasing with either STR or DEX modifier, depending on which is higher) to KoTOR 1. It also works for unarmed attacks. Additionally, since this is a k_ai_master.ncs replacer, it restores the extra attack of repeating blasters. Another fix or two are underway (trying to restore the non-functional damage boost from Battle Stimulants at the moment).
Melee Finesse does not currently require a feat to be taken (since I consider it a pointless fun tax for DEX builds), but if there is interest a feat-restricted version would be easy to make. The feat is currently purely cosmetic and is given to the player (at level 2 because of reasons outlined in the installer) and all party members. A version without the pointless cosmetic feat is also available in the same download.
Note that due to the (hacky) way this is implemented (ai_scripts) the finesse effect updates every 0.5 seconds (for the player and party only) and cannot update while your inventory is open, so don't panic if your bonus doesn't instantly change when you are swapping weapons. Close the inventory, wait a moment, reopen and the bonus will change. If interested, read the Limitations/Technical details section below.
    Installation
Grab the file, read the readme and either run Install.exe and follow the instructions or drop k_ai_master.ncs from Optional Manual Install into your Override folder. The TSLPatcher installer contains additional instructions for disabling either extra repeater attacks or finesse, as well as instructions for installing this with other mods that modify k_ai_master.ncs.
    Uninstallation
This is safe to uninstall mid-playthrough (if you follow the instructions). Go to Ebon Hawk/Taris hideout (so all of your party members are loaded). Equip a lightsaber or a regular non-repeating blaster on all of your party members who are currently wielding a repeating blaster or a melee weapon (while suffering from a case of very high dex). You can now uninstall the mod by removing k_ai_master.ncs and (if using the full version) restoring the modified .utc and .2da files from the backup folder. Note that the restoring the utc/2da files from backup should only be done if this is the last mod you installed that patched those files.
    Compatibility
Incompatible with any mods that outright replace k_ai_master.ncs:
Repeating blaster attacks restoration: includes its main functionality. The optional power shot/sniper shot fix is compatible. KOTOR 1 Improved AI:  Should work if you compile k_ai_master.ncs with Improved AI’s files. To do so download K1 Improved AI, take the files from the Source folder and drop them in tslpatchdata\Full (or tslpatchdata\ScriptOnly if installing that version), then install this mod normally. Content Pack - Feats and Powers: Incompatible. Since both mods modify k_ai_master.nss, a manual patch would need to be created. Otherwise it should be compatible with pretty much everything else.
    Known Issues/Limitations/Technical details
As ai script execution is paused in the inventory, there is no way to instantly update the attack bonus display when swapping items, meaning that if you are switching from a melee weapon to a ranged weapon (or vice-versa) the attack bonus from dex (if active) won't be added/removed until after you close the inventory and reopen it after a short delay (~0.5 seconds).
Since there is no way (without hacking apart the executable) to "natively" implement this functionality, the Attack from DEX is applied as an Attack Bonus Increase effect. This means it's subject to the maximum +20 feat and effects Attack Bonus cap, which most people likely haven't heard of before since it's basically unreachable in vanilla KoTOR. The bonus is applied as a difference between DEX and STR modifiers, which means that even late game fully buffed-up builds won't be hamstrung by the cap.
Additionally, this attack bonus is applied based on the mainhand weapon. This means that on a high DEX build, compared to a build where all of the attack bonus comes from STR, a mainhand vibroblade/offhand lightsaber will result in a higher offhand attack bonus (offhand lightsaber will benefit from dex bonus twice, since lightsabers are already finesse in the vanilla game), while a mainhand lightsaber/offhand vibroblade will result on a lower offhand attack (offhand vibroblade won't benefit from the dex bonus). I don't consider either of these big issues (since the offhand only attacks once per round) and it would be impossible to fix since there is no effect that only grants offhand/mainhand attack bonus.
Effects (repeater attacks and the finesse bonus) are checked/updated/removed every 0.5 seconds (pseudo-heartbeat that only runs between regular onHeartbeat calls) for the 9 party members and the player and only on certain perception/combat round end/damage events for all other entities (which automatically excludes all friendly NPCs that don't participate in combat). This should make the effects react very quickly to changing stats/weapons (if the player pops a Hyper-Adrenal Alacrity or switches from a repeating blaster to a vibroblade for example) without introducing any potential lag for NPCs.
    Tools used
    Holocron Toolset
    TSLPatcher
    Credits
R2-X2 for their Repeater Restoration script, which gave me an idea on how to implement finesse.

  17. Darth Souls

This mod is a reupload from the mod I first uploaded to Nexus mods. This mod is an essential tool to play the game however you want!
This simple mod, allows a very extensive set of difficulty options to be selected when playing Knights of the Old Republic. This does work for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords as well! Ranging from Effortless difficulty, where you will take no damage during gameplay, all the way up to Impossible difficulty, where every move counts!

This mod was done to significantly increase or decrease game difficulty options. A full detail of all options are as follows:

Effortless - "requiring no physical or mental exertion." True to the definition, this makes your kotor experience completely story based. Fight even the toughest of enemies with no armor, and hand to hand combat!

Very Easy - 1/4 damage taken in game. Makes the game so easy, even a young child would enjoy without frustration.

Easy - "achieved without great effort; presenting few difficulties." This is the standard Easy difficulty option already present in-game. 1/2 damage from enemies.

Moderate - "average in amount, intensity, quality, or degree." This setting is slightly easier than the standard normal difficulty, best suited for gamers who have never played dice roller combat before. 3/4 damage from enemies.

Normal - "conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected." This is the default normal difficulty, recommended to start here for basic play as the game is balanced like the way it was intended. 100% damage from enemies.

Challenging - "testing one's abilities; demanding." This difficulty setting ups the ante in favor for the enemies in the game slightly. Best for first time players of the game but have experience with dice roller combat. 125% damage from enemies

Difficult - "needing much effort or skill to accomplish, deal with, or understand." This setting is the default max difficulty option, best for experienced players to play at this level. 150% damage from enemies.

Hard - "requiring a great deal of endurance or effort." This setting is the first one to really shine above normal gameplay capabilities, most players probably feel like the standard Difficult setting is still too easy. This setting will be a refresher for those ample to play harder difficulties without overdemanding scenarios. 200% damage from enemies.

Very Difficult - Essentially this is double the punishment done by the regular Difficult setting. Best suited for those who want extra challenge and thought processes for the journey. 300% damage from enemies.

Overpowering - "extremely strong or intense; overwhelming." This is where the game starts really getting Souls-like. Enemies will deliver punishing damage in late game. At times certain fights will make you doubt the possibilities of beating the game like this. 400% damage from enemies.

Impossible - "not able to occur, exist, or be done." This setting is for those who are Souls masters. Beating the game on this difficulty should be an achievement worth all the points it would take to beat all achievements from most games. Will have you looking like Darth Maul begging Darth Sidious for mercy, "There is no mercy." 500% damage from enemies.

So as you can see, this simple difficulty mod will cater to practically anyone's tastes. Just make sure to change difficulty prior to starting a new game. The default option will always select the second difficulty option no matter what, which in this case would be the  "Very Easy" option. Let me know what you think of the mod and May the Force be with You!

  18. Restored Content for K1CP [DEMO]

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    0.6.0 Demo Release Date: 129.05.2024

    Installation:
Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod! No exceptions!
Simply click on the INSTALL.exe, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.

    Description:
The Kotor 1 Community Patch (K1CP) is the biggest bug fix mod for Kotor 1 and is arguably the number one go-to mod for Kotor 1, similar to TSLRCM for Kotor 2. The Kotor 1 Restoration (K1R) mod is NOT compatible with the K1CP and as such players have to pick between hundreds of bug fixes offered by the K1CP or the restored content of K1R, they couldn't pick both... until now!
Restored Content for K1CP is a restoration mod for Kotor 1 which has been developed for use alongside the K1CP mod, with this mod installed you shall experience restored content alongside the bug fixes of the K1CP mod.
This mod also does not follow the same "rules" as K1R, that means this mod might restore cut content that K1R didn't restore either because the original K1R Dev Team didn't want to restore it or because they didn't know about it.
This mod is an INDEPENDENT project developed by a single modder (and any future contributors) with no connection to the original K1R mod, everything in this mod was developed from scratch as getting permission to use K1R assets is impossible due to the disappearance of the K1R team leader. This mod is a DEMO meaning it does not restore all the cut content that K1R restores, future updates shall add more content and fix any bugs present in the mod.
Whilst this mod is a Demo, it is not necessarily incomplete... what little restored content this mod has to offer is complete and will not standout as unfinished (in terms of the mod itself, your opinion on the cut content might be different).
If you have feedback or any bugs to report for the next update, I urge you to report these to me so that the Restored Content for K1CP mod may be the best it can be!

    What's restored:

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have any bugs but if there are please report them to me on Deadlystream.

    Incompatibilities:
    To be added!

    Permissions:
Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission.

    Thanks to:
SithRevan (RIP): Beginning the restoration effort for K1!
K1R Team: For developing the original K1R mod!
A Future Pilot: For kickstarting the K1 Community Patch mod!

  19. NPC Diversity Pack [Beta/K1]

    NPC Diversity Pack [K1]
A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    0.8.0 Beta Release Date: 04.04.2024

    Installation:
Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod!
If you plan on using it, install the Unofficial K1CP Tweak Pack mod SECOND (This mod is optional and is NOT required for this mod to work)!
Simply click on this mod's TSLPatcher.exe and click install. Do know that this mod edits over 600 NPCs so feel free to get a snack as the mod installs

    Description:
As with many modders, I have a vision for a comprehensive NPC Overhaul. This mod is currently in a BETA stage, whilst I don't expect bugs, I do expect player criticism/feedback alongside reports of possible mod conflicts with certain mods... updates will be released to fix any possible bugs, add popular player suggestions, possible hotfixes for incompatible mods and new content as they become possible.
    What does this mod do?
This mod is comprised of several smaller mods that have been merged into one big mod, resulting in an immersive NPC Overhaul which is compatible with the K1 Community Patch.
This mod swaps the heads of hundreds of NPCs to prevent the 'clone' effect, it replaces the low poly Lite NPCs with actual NPC appearances, it diversifies the clothing, armor and weapons worn by NPCs without touching any of the NPC Loot drops, it modifies the .GIT files in some areas to remove duplicated NPCs, it swaps the soundsets of over 200 NPCs so that the enemies you fight have a truly random "death grunt" sound as they die and MORE!

With this mod, over 600 NPCs will be affected (including NPCs which are commonly affected by other mods). It is HIGHLY advised to install this mod (AFTER the K1CP mod) BEFORE you install any new appearance mods.
For example, Galaxy of Faces is a mod which adds new appearances. Installing the NPC-DP BEFORE that mod will allow you to have GoF appearances alongside the NPC-DP's NPC Overhaul.

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs, but if there are feel free to report it to me on Deadlystream.

    Incompatibilities:
    Please report any incompatibilities!

  20. KotOR 1 Twi'lek Male NPC Diversity

    =KotOR 1 Twi'lek Male NPC Diversity=
A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC MODIFICATION

    AUTHOR: Leilukin
    FILE NAME: K1 Twi'lek Male NPC Diversity.7z
    LATEST VERSION: 1.1.3
CONTACT: E-mail to leilukin@outlook.com, or message to Leilukin on Deadly Stream

    1. DESCRIPTION:
In vanilla KotOR 1, Twi'lek NPCs have a very limited variety of designs. This mod aim to diversify the appearances of Twi'lek male NPCs, by giving the named Twi'lek male NPCs different looks instead of the generic NPC looks to set them apart.
The Twi'lek male NPCs affected by this mod include:
Larrim, a merchant in the South Apartments of the Taris Upper City Uriah, a Pazaak card seller in Javyar's Cantina Bib Surool in Javyar's Cantina Matrik in the Lower City East Apartment on Taris Crattis Yurkal, a merchant in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine Deesra Luur Jada, a Jedi Knight in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine Kandon Ark in the Black Vulkar Base on Taris Karal Kaar, a merchant in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine Lur Arka Sulas in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine Bolook at the Dantooine grove Nico Senvi, a swoop racer on Tatooine Ganda Kaitoova, a swoop race fan on Tatooine Senni Vek, messenger of the GenoHaradan quest line Vek in the swoop registration on Manaan Ziagrom, messenger of Mika Dorin's premium store The unique appearances of these NPCs are created by utilizing the assets from Ashton Scorpius' Better Twi'lek Male Heads for K1 Enhancement Pack modder's resource, which is based on the Twi'lek NPC assets from SpaceAlex's K1 Enhancement Pack, which has been released as a modder's resource.
Ashton Scorpius' K1 Better Twi'lek Male Heads mod is not required for this mod to work, but I recommend installing Ashton's mod alongside this mod for visual consistency between the Twi'lek male NPC heads.
For the best experience with this mod, it is recommended to load a save before visiting Taris for the first time.

    2. INSTALLATION:
Extract the K1 Twi'lek Male NPC Diversity.7z archive you downloaded to anywhere you like, as long as it is not within the KotOR directory. Run Install.exe, point the installer to your KotOR directory, where swkotor.exe is located, and let the installer do its job.
I also provide upscaled head textures for the Twi'lek male NPCs as an optional installation. After installing the main part of this mod, go to the "Optional - Upscaled Textures" folder, drop the files into the Override folder in your KotOR directory and overwrite files when prompted.
If you prefer the Twi'lek men's "blubber" necks in the vanilla game, or you choose to install Option B of Ashton Scorpius' K1 Better Twi'lek Male Heads, after installing the main part of this mod, go to the "Optional - Original Necks" folder, drop the files into the Override folder in your directory and overwrite files when prompted.
When you install this mod, two new folders named "backup" and “uninstall” will be created by the installer in the same folder as the installer. Do not delete the folders or any of the files within the folder if you are planning on uninstalling this mod.
If you also want to use N-DReW25's Senni Vek Restoration or Restored Content for K1CP (RC-K1CP), you need to run Install.exe again, select the “Senni Vek Restoration/RC-K1CP Compatibility” installation option, and point the installer to the directory of your KotOR game. Make sure you have installed the “Main Installation” component of the mod before installing this compatibility patch.

    3. UNINSTALLATION:
Run Install.exe and select your KotOR directory where you installed this mod. From the “Tools” dropdown menu, select “Uninstall Mod / Restore Backup”, then confirm to uninstall the mod.
If you have also installed the compatibility patch for Senni Vek Restoration or Restored Content for K1CP, the installer will uninstall the patch first. After uninstalling the patch, you need to select Yes to delete the most recent backup folder, then select “Uninstall Mod / Restore Backup” from the dropdown menu again to uninstall the main part of my mod.

    4. KNOWN ISSUES:
None currently known. If you find any bugs or problems, please let me know.

    5. MOD COMPATIBILITY:
This mod is not compatible with any other mods that modify or change the heads of the Twi'lek male NPCs affected by this mod (see the Description section above for a full list of the NPCs).
This mod does not replace any vanilla Twi'lek textures and models, so this mod is compatible with mods that retexture or remodel vanilla Twi'leks.
If you are using KotOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP), you need to install this mod after K1CP.
If you are using KotOR 1 Restoration (K1R), you need to install this mod after K1R.
If you are using N-DReW25's Senni Vek Restoration or Restored Content for K1CP (RC-K1CP), this mod has included a compatibility patch. Follow the instructions in the "Installation" section above to install this patch.

    6. PERMISSION:
Since this mod utilizes assets from Ashton Scorpius' Better Twi'lek Male Heads for K1EP modder's resource, per Ashton's terms in the modder's resource, do not use assets from this mod without receiving Ashton's permission first.

    7. CREDITS:
SpaceAlex for the K1 Enhancement Pack modder's resource
Ashton Scorpius for creating the Better Twi'lek Male Heads for K1EP modder's resource and giving me the permission to use it
N-DReW25 for giving me the permission to make a compatibility patch for Senni Vek Restoration
    Cortisol for Holocron Toolset
    bead-v for MDLedit
ndix UR for tga2tpc and tpcview
    Cortisol and th3w1zard1 for HoloPatcher

  21. Ladies of the Sith Army

    Ladies of the Sith Army
A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.3.0 Release Date: 11.12.2022

    Installation:
Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod!
Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe, select your option, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.
Once the mod is installed, delete "PLC_SSldCrps.tpc" from the Override folder.

    Description:
On Taris, you encounter a female off duty Sith by the name of Sarna who says the following:
"I'm off duty right now, so I'm not in uniform. My name is Sarna - junior officer first class with the Sith occupation force."- Sarna
A 'first class junior officer' makes it sound as if she is one of the many female Sith Officer NPCs you encounter throughout the game, however, the player has the option of stealing her Sith Armor which instead suggests she is a Female Sith Soldier... so where are the Female Sith Soldiers?
This mod will add Female Sith Soldiers throughout the K1 story alongside their male comrades in arms, they can be found in the following locations:
    Endar Spire
    Taris Undercity
    Taris Military Base
    Manaan Military Base
    Leviathan
    Star Forge
These new NPCs are a rework of the default Sith Trooper model, giving them feminine curves and the female animations. This, combined with the new Female Sith Soldier soundset (an edit of the normal Sith Soldier soundset),
will present authentic Female Sith Soldiers. Only the appearances and soundsets of the modified Sith are changed, the difficulty and loot drops of the affected Sith Soldiers remain unchanged.

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream.
When the Female Sith Soldier dies, her arms sometimes appear to clip into the ground. This is an issue with the model and isn't something I can fix.

    Incompatibilities:
    Please report any incompatibilities!
Should be compatible with most Sith Trooper reskins!

    Permissions:
Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission.
The Female Sith Soldier models, however, are free for everyone to use!

  22. Senni Vek Restoration

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic

    1.1.0 Release Date: 28.08.2022

    Installation:
Please install either the K1 Community Patch, K1R or NPC Overhaul FIRST before this mod!
Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe, select your option, click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.

    Description:
After you kill Calo Nord, a messenger named Senni Vek will deliver a message for you to meet Hulas on Manaan... in the vanilla game that is the last you ever here from him. While searching through the game files, I discovered during the Hulas fight our good old friend Senni was supposed to fight along Hulas against you, however, his NPC was replaced with the appearance and nametag of a Yellow Rodian who still utilized the Twi'lek soundset. This mod restores Senni Vek to the fight so that you can finally butcher him alongside Hulas.

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream.

    Description:
9 years ago, Pavijan357 released their Unofficial TSLRCM Tweak Pack. That mod changed numerous aspects of TSLRCM based on Pavijan's personal tastes including, but not limited to, the removal of Kaevee or the restoration of Saedhe's original generic head.
This mod uses that concept and applies it to the K1 Community Patch where I change, revamp or remove certain features of the K1 Community Patch based on my own personal opinion on that particular feature.

  24. Duros: Armed & Ready!

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.0.0 Release Date: 17.06.2023

    Installation:
Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod!
Simply click on this mod's INSTALL.exe, click install, sit back, and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.

    Description:
In the Kotor games, certain alien NPCs can wear the same robes and armor the player can (such as the Twi'leks and the Devaronians) whilst other aliens can't (such as Trandoshans and Rodians). The reason why this is is because of the way these aliens are setup, for example, the Twi'lek is made up of two models: the head and the body, whilst the Rodian is one single model containing both the head and the body.
The Duros NPCs are one of the aliens that use 1 model for the entire NPC instead of two, this prevents the Duros from visibly wearing any armor that's equipped on the Duros NPC.
Whilst most players won't really notice the single model alien NPCs who can't wear armor, what they might notice is how the Duros on Dantooine who are aligned with the Mandalorian faction there aren't wearing the iconic Mandalorian armor. One could argue that the Duros themselves aren't Mandalorians as they're only ever referred to as "allies" of the Mandalorians, but one longer has to argue, as this mod is here to change everything!
In 2015, JCarter426 released his Head Modder's Resource for K2 on MediaFire which took many one model aliens and separated the heads from their bodies. This allowed one model NPCs like Rodians to wear Jedi Robes when previously they couldn't.
This was not a mod; however, it was a resource for other modders to pick out assets they wanted to use in their own mods. In the past 8 years, the only thing that has come from the Modder's Resource was the Duros Jedi cameo in the Full Jedi Council mod by Kexikus and Duros Mandalorians in the Smash City Studios fan film "Star Wars KOTOR: Episode 1: A Familiar Path".
The idea of Mandalorian Duros has been a dream ever since I first saw the "A Familiar Path" fan film, and today we get to live that dream!
The Duros who accompany the Mandalorians on Dantooine and the Duros who work as Miners on Tatooine shall wear Mandalorian armor and Czerka uniform instead of the Duros outfit we all know and love.
Originally, I wanted to have two totally different separate mods that edited the Mandalorian Duros and the Duros Miners on Tatooine separately... but to ensure the cleanest installation process I've decided to release this mod, "Duros: Armed and Ready!", before those two mods so that if players don't like those two secret mods then players can simply opt for this simplier mod instead!
Those two secret mods shall require "Duros: Armed and Ready!" for the Duros aspect of those mods to work properly, but until those mods are released players do not have to worry about this.

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs, but if there are feel free to report it to me on Deadlystream.
It is possible that Duros modified in this mod shall perform 'idle' animations that clip through the Duros head (such as when an NPC brushes their hair, the Duros who perform this animation will brush right through their face). This bug isn't fixable without brute work modding (possibly involving a new unique Duros heavy battle armor and Czerka body model with different animations), though it shouldn't really be noticable as the Mandalorian Duros will turn hostile and attack the player if you approach them... the bug is only noticable if you focus on the Duros Miners.
When the Duros Miners on Tatooine speak, their lips will not move. This might either be an oversight on JCarter426's part back when he made the heads or a result of porting the head to K1, this might be fixed in a future update.

    Incompatibilities:
    Please report any incompatibilities!
Will be incompatible with any mod that changes the Mandalorian Duros on Dantooine or the Duros Miners on Tatooine, though I don't know of any mods that do this.
The Duros in this mod use the heavy battle armor and Czerka uniform body model, so any changes to these models will affect the Duros (Again, I don't know of any mods that do this).
Duros reskins, Mandalorian Armor reskins and Czerka uniform reskins should be compatible with this mod, though how they look together is up to personal opinion!

    Permissions:
Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission.
The Duros head models themselves are free for any modder to use!

    Thanks to:
JCarter426: For creating the Duros heads in the first place, without you this mod wouldn't have been possible!
Smash City Studios: For using the Duros heads in the "Star Wars KOTOR: Episode 1: A Familiar Path" fan film, their appearance greatly inspired this mod!
Bioware: For such an amazing game!
    Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool!
    Stoffee: For TSLPatcher!
