Consultation and supervision services
I am available to consult with therapists about intersectional decolonial, liberatory feminist practice, either one-time or on a continuing basis by video conference. I also offer several continuing consultation groups for practicing, licensed psychotherapists. If you and a group of up to no less than four total and no more than five other colleagues are interested in organizing a consultation group and would like me to serve as your consultant please contact me to discuss setting this up. I currently offer such groups in the US and China.
Topics about which I offer consultation include:
- Trauma healing: Countertransference issues with trauma survivors, including vicarious traumatization; planning the work of trauma healing collaboratively; developing containment and self-soothing skills in severely dissociative trauma survivors; empowerment-focusednrisk management with traumatized people.
- Intersectional, decolonial feminist and culturally responsive practice: Integrating or deepening a healer’s comprehension of ways in which liberatory and egalitarian practices can inform their work, including analysis of power and intersectional identities.
- Diagnostic dilemmas: I enjoy assisting other healers in making sense of complicated presentations of human distress.
- Forensic issues: If you or the person you work with are anticipating a deposition or court appearance I can support you in preparing to deal with the legal system.
My fee for consultation with psychotherapists is 180/45 minutes, prorated for groups lasting longer than 45 minutes.
Lectures and workshops
I am available to offer lectures and workshops to professional and general audiences on the topics I’ve written about. Most of these workshops can be presented to accommodate time slots varying from 1 hour to 2 days depending on your organization’s needs. Feel free to contact me directly to discuss the needs and interests of your organization. My usual fee for an in-person workshop is 4000/day plus travel expenses. For an online workshop my fee is 3500.00 I generally require several months of advance notice to schedule a workshop.
Psychotherapy and Forensic practices
My psychotherapy practice closed on December 20, 2018. I am not making psychotherapy referrals as of January, 2022. I am leaving my consent form available here for use by other therapists, who should feel free to modify it for their own use. I stopped taking referrals for forensic cases in June, 2023, with the exception of cases involving multiple victims of the same institution. If you are an attorney in such a case, please feel free to contact me via email to set up a time to discuss the case.
