VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (November 9, 2011) – Arc 2 Intertainment’s FMA is thrilled to report the success of its Vancouver Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 VIP Opening Gala on November 1st, 2011, held at famed Canadian-artist Pamela Masik’s studio, Masik Studio at 142 West 2nd Avenue in Vancouver, BC.

Called by many “one of the best events of the year”, FMA creator Andy Chu’s gala kicked off Vancouver Fashion Week’s week of shows, and was for many revellers the perfect start to the fall/winter party circuit. Local celebrity and industry-VIPs packed the 14,000 sq foot house, where they were treated to amazing live performances by Pamela Masik herself, musician Jag and Goh Ballet choreographer and dancer Meredith Kalaman. Over 30 exhibiting designers showcased their designs on live models, and local denim designers Kings and Paupers dressed Chu in their debut denim line.

Vancouver-based Andy Chu, fashion and entertainment veteran, has been a loyal supporter of the industry. His presenting sponsorship in the form of hosting the VIP Opening Gala was a testament to his encouragement of Vancouver’s own fashion, music and art scene – and his associates and friends were overjoyed to attend.

“I was delighted to have the opportunity to present Vancouver Fashion Week’s 2012 VIP Opening Gala and to attach the FMA brand to it. FMA and VFW’s vision is the same: to support and foster an internationally recognized fashion week event, that showcases both Vancouver local talents and international fashion designers.” says Andy Chu Creator of FMA. “I think our gala event gave everyone a taste of the week that was to come – and hopefully a taste of what they could look forward to for the next seasons as well!”
