• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got this message from Hyundai Consumer affairs:

The Hyundai representative has confirmed that your iPhone® is not compatible with the hands-free Bluetooth® system in your 2011 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. We apologize for any disappointment this may cause.

Has this been any the experience for anyone else?

You got that message in reply to what? Bluetooth streaming?
An iPhone 2?

The iPhone certainly works as a hands-free phone via Bluetooth. Streaming in the 4.6 not so much.

So what did you ask?

Works for me. Did this message come out of the blue?

My iPhone works as a phone and syncs to bluetooth for normal operation. It does not sync my contacts with the car however and there is no bluetooth streaming ability, I have to use a cable to connect the phone to the stereo. I have a 2010 4.6.

I have no problem using bluetooth with my iPhone, and plugging it in using the iPod feature. It will not download the phonebook however.

My complaint was that if a new caller called-- the phone number at would show up. If I put that person into my phonebook-- the next time they called to would show "unknown". I have been dicking around with this for months trying to see if my experience was isolated to only my car. I have not been able to find anyone else with that complaint. When i insisted that the dealer get a factory rep. to look at it-- This is the response I got by email... NOT COMPATIBLE. Is that a copout or am I getting screwed.

My '09 4.6 W/Tech did not download the phonebook. I had to enter and store each number.

My '11 4.6 did download the phonebook. So long as I associated a name with each number, the car would display the identity of a caller.

My 2011 4.6 will not auto connect with my Iphone 4 wen i get into the car. I have to turn the bluetooth off on my phone and back on for it to connect. Why doesnt it just connect when you get into the car? Anyone else experiencing this?

Check all your settings in the phone and the car. My wife's blackberry has a auto connect setting that has to be turned on.
