International airports in Croatia are in capital Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Osijek and island Brac. There is daily service to Zagreb from almost all major European airports, from where you could continue towards the coast. In high season, the  number of flights is increased, and numerous charter flights fly directly to the largest tourist destinations in Croatia: Pula, Rijeka, Brac, Split ad Dubrovnik. Average flight time from London to Zagreb is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and from New York 10 hours and 30 minutes.

New cheap flights from summer 2006:

EasyJet is launching flights 4 times a week (mon, wed, fri, sat) from London Luton to Rijeka (Airport Krk) on 30th June 2006. Seats on sale from Friday 3rd March. One way fares from Ł25.99.
Also, from 22nd July 2006 EasyJet will be flying from Bristol to Rijeka.


Norwegian Air Shutle is launching cheap flights from Oslo to Rijeka.

HLX: cheap flights from a number of cities in Germany.

From island Krk there is a ferry service to island Cres at Valbiska, which is around 20 minutes drive from the Krk airport. Ferry trip to Merag on island Cres takes around 20 minutes.

Airport Losinj

On the island of Losinj there is an airport for small and medium aircraft, with runway stretching some 900m. Airport Losinj is international airport that can cater for plains that carry up to 30 people; it also administers scenic flight around the Cres-Losinj islands.
