i heard that it's their first,and LAST MeeGo device,maybe it will not come to Lebanon because Nokia is not going to release the phone worldwide.

A company doesn't retire. I've never heard such a thing. I've heard dissolve, file bankruptcy, merge, get acquired...
Frankly, I don't think Nokia is going anywhere. But maybe they will diversify? Or even stop producing phones altogether and concentrate on other products?

in addition, it is the first and last meego phone. it was the brain child of
the partnership between nokia and intel. it was dumped because of the
termination of the partnership with intel. nokia saw it fit to pursue its
future with other technologies than what intel and mego had to offer.
the market price for the n9 is estimated to be in between 550-650e

You will definitely be able to get it from unofficial channels, but I heard it might be coming to Lebanon.

EDIT: I asked @_ant1_ (Antoine Naaman, Digital Marketer for Nokia Lebanon) about the N9, he said it's coming!

symbian OS will not fall apart, nokia signed with Microsoft for future phones running WinPhone 7 N9 is the FIRST and LAST phone that will run MeeGo OS it will be released in lebanon soon, the nokia N950 is the N9+ physical Keyboard there are only 300 such devices distributed ON LOAN to MeeGo developers .

From what I read and what I personally think, Nokia's future plan goes something like this;
.release of the first and last MeeGo N9 phone (very soon) (due to intel, read above)
.release of its first windows7 phone in beginning of 2012
.upgrading symbian to further more advance OS, and possibly combining it with Alien Dalvik
.sign with windows 8 and start production with its first tablet

It's available at Amhaz for 700$ ! That's what it says on their facebook group anyway. Also someone said it's available at Khoury Cell but he didn't mention the price(also in the fb group)
