Come un albero di Sicomoro

Entrato in Gerico, Gesù attraversava la città, circondato dalla folla. Un uomo, tale Zaccheo, ricco sovrintendente degli esattori del fisco e sfruttatore dei più poveri, cercava di vedere chi fosse Gesù, ma essendo piccolo di statura non ci riusciva. Corse dunque avanti e per poterlo vedere salì sopra un sicomoro, perché Gesù doveva passare di là.
