The mission of the American Rescue Dog Association® (ARDA®) is to promote and enhance the capabilities of canine search and rescue/recovery teams by providing education, training, certification programs, and standards of excellence to volunteer canine handlers and/or volunteer canine organizations, which provide as a public service, competent and capable handlers, support personnel, and canines for search and rescue/recovery work.
