IGLFA Revamped!

Founded in 1992, the International Gay & Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) has emerged as a global catalyst for LGBTQ+ inclusion in football. Since its inception, IGLFA has witnessed the sprouting of numerous teams and clubs across every continent, all converging to champion its mission. These diverse entities, play a pivotal role in IGLFA's narrative, embodying the essence of acceptance and unity. Beyond the realm of competition, each team and club becomes a vibrant thread in the tapestry of IGLFA's success, contributing to the organization's goal of fostering a global community that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries. Together, they redefine the narrative of LGBTQ+ individuals in football, turning the beautiful game into a powerful force for social change and inclusion on a worldwide scale.

In recent years IGLFA has shifted its focus from organizing an annual IGLFA World Championship, to one which provides assistance to organizing boards of national and international tournaments and events.

While partnering with the organizers of these events, the IGLFA provides support and aide to maintain the highest level of competition for our members. IGLFA works alongside tournament and event coordinators to assist in providing the best experience for our members at each tournament and event. IGLFA has and always will strive to support, nurture and improve any and all LGBTQ football organizations throughout the world.
