Our Coastal Community Awaits

Welcome to our Town

Welcome to Cambria, your Central California vacation destination! Cambria CA is located half-way between San Francisco and Los Angeles on the Central Coast of California just six miles south of the famous historic landmark Hearst Castle.

Congratulations to Dave Ehlers for winning Citizen of the Year 2023.

Congratulations to Boni’s Tacos for winning Business of the Year 2023.

We are OPEN!

It should be noted that the Big Sur coast experience is still available for travelers. Many beautiful miles of highway stretch on the south coast with communities such as Morro Bay, Cambria, San Simeon, and the Ragged Point Inn itself, and beyond to Gorda and Pacific Valley are welcome and open for business.

Highway One is open from the south to Cambria and San Simeon and folks may drive as far as Lime Kiln. There is no parking at the turnaround. Check back here for more updates as work on Highway One continues. To get North, take Highway 46 (south of Cambria) to Highway 101 north towards Monterey.

Cambria ultimately embodies the relaxing pace of California’s Central Coast, where towering pine trees, rugged shores, and remarkable air quality set the tone. Visitors to the area are enchanted by its historic architecture, distinctive shops, art galleries, and walking trails along the beach. Free of chain stores and brimming with charm, Cambria is home to a growing gourmet food and wine experience. Must see attractions include the famous Hearst Castle, a rare colony of Elephant Seals, and the historic Piedras Blancas Lighthouse Station. Cambria invites you to explore one of California’s truly unique destinations.

The Cambria Chamber is a Non-Profit 501(6)C and we appreciate your support. If you’d like to donate, please click HERE.
