Art Cafe specializes in great coffee, Israeli-style foods, fresh and organic ingredients, and a homey-European vibe. Our cuisine is inspired by the many coffee shops that you might find in the streets of Tel Aviv and Europe, with a mix of traditional Israeli recipes and some new creative flavors. Not only do we have a passion for great taste but we also focus on food being healthy. We strongly believe in the phrase "you are what you eat" so we integrate organic products wherever possible into our dishes. Our focus on such great quality and flavor has led us to Counter Culture Coffee, a sustainably sourced and fresh brand of coffee based in Durham, NC that pairs well with many of our dishes. We strongly believe that each cup of coffee we make is not only the freshest cup you can get but also the best. We take our time freshly grinding your recently roasted coffee and then brew it perfectly, each cup individually, so you can expect an intimate, fresh, delicious, and beautiful experience at Art Cafe.

Food was ok, I had the Shakshouka for lunch , it was mostly mushy tomato with baked egg ( on the on the lighter and healthier side ). Tasted good , but was expecting more vegetables in the mix and more color.
Ambiance was good and cozy , sat inside , outdoor was not an option as it was a colder day for March.
Service was good and attentive .
Overall was good experience, maybe next time I will try something else . I looked at what others ordered , they looked enticing .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 11, 2024Updated review
We were in the area with friends and stopped by for brunch. There was a small wait but nothing terrible. We sat outside next to the small play structure- what an incredibly good idea! Our toddler was able to burn off every before food without bothering others. Great food and service!

Came here on a Friday night as a middle point to meet friends from NJ and NY. It's located in a quaint part of town which was nice to walk and explore during our 15 minute wait to be seated. They have a text program to seat you if you have to wait, which was helpful.
It's cute in here - very home and hipster like, it kind of reminds me of shops in Portland. I ordered the Chagall bowl which was a refreshing flavor with pears, balanced out with goat cheese, walnuts and onions. I got it with quinoa. Unfortunately they didn't have two of the drinks I wanted so I ended up getting hot cider.
This place is great for a quick, small meal, smaller groups, and a somewhere to chat and catch up.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 3, 2023
I do love the place. Great location, Israeli food, gluten free options, music and events on certain nights and generally nice people.
Cons:
Hard to find reservations. They are always full somehow. Always a waiting list. Not likely to get in as a walk in. There is a to go option.
Not cheap for what it is. Some of the coffee drinks are too sweet.
Pros:
Good food. I love the burekus, Israeli salad and malawach. Outside seating is also nice. There is a outdoor window for takeout and nice waiting area outside. It's cute indoors too. Small but cozy. I would recommend it for visitorsHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 88299842Dec 14, 2023Updated review
Fantastic indoor and outdoor restaurant with a great range of items on the menu with something for everyone. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner options with a lots of beer, wine and cider options, besides coffee, tea and juices. Substantial portions with good quality ingredients made fresh. The Boreka/Torti sandwich I had was very filling and delicious. The Goat Cheese Torti is served on thin round dough with goat cheese, portobello, onion, and tomato and prepared in a panini press. Served with a side salad topped with seed/nut mix.
Friendly and prompt service, pretty standard. I really enjoy the outdoor seating with lots of umbrellas to keep you comfortable. I'll gladly come back here again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 3, 2023Previous reviewFantastic indoor and outdoor restaurant with a great range of items on the menu with something for everyone. Such a gem of a restaurant tucked in Nyack. The patio dining at the entrance looked cute but I went on a bit chilly night so couldn't take advantage of it.
Since it was busy and we didn't had a reservation we ended up sitting at the bar counter, but it wasn't bad at all.
As per the crew recommendation I ordered Hummus Malawach. This was my first time trying this dish and absolutely loved it! It was so crispy, flaky and amazing hummus/egg/olive filling inside it. It comes along with a nice portion of salad.
Other thing we ordered was Israeli couscous - the portion is quite large. We ended up taking half of it home - it's a delicious dish.
I am very much looking forward to come here for breakfast next time as I wanna try brekkie stuff.
The parking is not an issue, it is just a few mins of walk.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 2023
This place has a great, cozy feel and a very Israeli-influenced menu. Good for pretty much any meal, including brunch, dunch, or linner.
I had the kahlo bowl with avocado and the stuffed grape leaves.
For the grape leaves, they were firmly wrapped, tasty, full-bodied, and room temperature, as they should be. The tahini dip they included with it is off the hook. It tastes a bit like spreadable halvah. Even after the grape leaves were done, I tore into the dip by itself. I know, bad form on my part, and I'm sure I embarrassed at least one person at the table.
The kahlo bowl was very tasty and the avocado was a very nice addition.
Service was very friendly and well paced. They work hard there. Sitting outside or inside is just as pleasant. Outside is also covered in case it rains.
Remember to tip well.
I would definitely go back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Karina A.New City, NY01Apr 23, 2024
Food is amazing here. The staff super friendly. The lattes & coffee just devine. And they sell the best tasting gf & vegan cookies in town period.

Was dying to try this place for a while. Tried getting in multiple times- when we finally got to try it, it was Very underwhelming and prices a bit high for what it is. Plus there is NO space inside - we were basically on top of the next table- I felt so uncomfortable- For the Atmosphere, experience and food prices I wouldn't go back!

I visited family and was craving Israeli food. Immediately, Art Cafe was suggested. And wow - I am so glad we came here! I have not had Israeli food this good since Israel. We ordered the Mezze Platter and Hummus Malawach. This was able to satisfy my desire to try multiple things! I truly wished I could have ordered more, because the food was absolutely incredible. The Malawach was cooked perfectly, flaky, buttery goodness and all. I loved the labane, grape leaves, borekas, and pita.
If you can't tell, I loved this place, and I really wished I lived closer. If you're looking for a great patio, fresh ingredients, and authentic Israeli food, this is the place to go.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
