Join other nature lovers in Kingston and help contribute to wildlife conservation! The City of Kingston will join hundreds of cities across Canada and around the world in the City Nature Challenge, a friendly competition to upload and share observations of nature between April 26-29.
To participate in the challenge, residents are invited to take photos of nature in their backyard, local park and across the city and then upload them into the iNaturalist platform to become part of an international database of biodiversity.

This month is to celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Canadians of Asian origin who, throughout history, have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate and prosperous nation it is today. While there is no official designation of colours for Asian Heritage Month, City Hall will be illuminated in multi-coloured lights to represent the vast diversity of Asian cultures and ethnicities.

The Ontario Medical Association represents Ontario's 43,000 plus physicians, medical students and retired physicians, advocating for and supporting doctors while strengthening the leadership role of doctors in caring for patients.First recognized by the provincial government in 2011, May 1st was chosen to mark the birthday of Canada's first female physician, Dr. Emily Stowe.

The Juvenis Festival is Kingston's Youth Arts Festival, one of only two youth arts festivals in all of Canada. The festival showcases the talent of Kingston youth of ages 18-30.

Without intensive and appropriate speech therapy, children with CAS will not learn to speak. Apraxia Awareness Day aims to unite these children and their friends and family with community members to be an unstoppable, united force advocating and raising awareness about CAS on May 14th.
