Blickle has been manufacturing high quality wheels and castors since 1953 and is a global leader in the field in terms of sales volumes, quality and the size of the company’s product range.
No matter what you are looking for, we provide you with tailored solutions like e.g., heavy duty caster wheels or light duty caster wheels, industrial casters, swivel casters, or wheels for a trolley - basically any kind of casters that are used in an industrial context also for example casters with brake. We also offer a wide variety of casters and wheels in different materials, for example rubber, nylon, polyurethane, or iron.

The international Blickle Group has around 1,300 employees, with over 900 at the headquarters in Rosenfeld. Blickle also maintains 21 sales subsidiaries in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia as well as exclusive distribution partners with well-stocked warehouses in over 120 countries around the world. Our commitment to being environmentally friendly was confirmed in 2012 when the company was granted ISO 14001 certification. Blickle’s compliance with the standard demonstrates that it is a forward-thinking company which is committed to protecting the environment.

Casters vs Wheels – are they the same?
The difference between a wheel and a caster lies within the structure. A wheel consists of tread or a press-on band, a rim and a wheel bearing. If the wheels were to have a bracket attached to it, it would be called a caster. There are two type of brackets that can be used on a wheel to create a caster, one type is a swivel caster and the other is a fixed caster. These two caster types differ in mobility. Fixed casters can only move in a straight-line either forwards or backwards, on the other hand, swivel casters can move in any direction as the swivel head can move 360° around the vertical axel.
Heavy or light-duty wheels – what are the differences?
The main difference between heavy duty wheels and light-duty wheels is the load capacity of the castor wheels. Light-duty wheels are used for light applications with a low load capacity and low transport speeds (up to 3km/h). Whereas, heavy-duty casters are designed to be used in tougher conditions due to their very stable construction and robust bearings. Twin wheel casters can help with even higher load capacities and guarantee easier manoeuvrability with small installation space.
