"I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn’t it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailleur? We are getting soft…As for me, give me a fixed gear!"
— Henri Desgrange, L’Équipe article of 1902

Mission
This blog doesn’t want to be a professional resource but just a diary of my experience with my hobby BertelliBici.com and in order to answer to all the numerous emails I received so far, asking “how I did that bike”, or “how can you find that component”. I have no interest in keeping any secret since there is no secret. Color and shape combination is something you have to learn by yourself and only researching, discovering and trying you can fully understand a discipline, like in this case the art of bicycle.
My other scope of this blog is also really to help anyone who buys a frame-set of mine, to build a bike on his your own, especially for all the people who wrote me around the world and I couldn’t fullfill their requests due to extremly expensive shipping cost or custom fees. If you buy a framset is a perfect starting point and building a bike is not that hard as you can expect. If you are a DIY guy and a creative person you’ll love to do it.
By the way if you need a professional resource you have to read Sheldon Brown website. That is the online bicycle “bible” where you can find any answer. My site want to be just a breadcrumb of it. Thanks Sheldon.
