Over the years GABR has rescued over 5000 Bassets! Our volunteers have driven thousands of miles and in some cases have flown to rescue a Basset that may have been abused, is ill , lost a home due to a death in the family or in some cases the owners could no longer afford to provide properly for their Basset. What ever the reason, GABR is there to the extent of our financial resources.

GABR continues to be a major force in our lives and in the lives of the thousands of Bassets that have been rescued. GABR is also very important to the people who adopt these dogs.
FOSTER PROGRAM
The purpose of a foster home is to provide a home environment while evaluating the dog's behavior around other dogs, children, and to observe the dog's personality, attitude and temperament. (learn more)
