My Original character, Archibald, has arrived to Netflix via Dreamworks Animation! Check out the Trailer below!

It's so awesome and surreal to see how Archibald has evolved over the years from this little chicken in my sketchbook to now having his own show on Netflix. Here's a little visual history of my character.

This is me and my friend Tony Hale the night we went to dinner and I shared Archibald with him for the first time. Tony really fell in love with the character that night and it was the start of a beautiful creative partnership

These are some of my original sketches of Archibald.

During the process of creating the book we made Archibald a little younger and smaller to try to appeal to a younger age

This is Archibald in his final form and how he appears on his Netflix series - The way Dreamworks reimagined my character is far more like my original design and I couldn't be happier with how he and his world turned out.

Worked with the amazing team at https://fantasy.co to concept, write, illustrate and direct this video for Indeed's new hiring platform. It was a fun and challenging job and it was fun adapting my style to fit the Indeed brand. Thankful for the amazing creative team at Indeed and their patience and thoughtfulness. It may be short but LOTS of very hard work went into this video.

Make Empathy™ exists to holistically lift up and amplify voices in America & around the world that are making empathy great. We will listen hard and use our imaginations to amplify Black, POC, LGBTQ+ voices, immigrant/indigenous communities, ex-evangelical/evangelicals, muslim and any other people on the front lines of the righteous fight against injustice. We will dialogue, seek to understand, & will let our love and compassion do the work of making our planet more whole, just and empathetic.

Today we get to choose what side of history we will be on. Will we be remembered by our friends and family for speaking out against injustice? Or will we be remembered as being complicit (either through our vote, silence or words) within the systems of white supremacy and an obvious fascist/racist President and administration?

Right now, as an American, we are ALL implicated in stories of injustice. How will you be remembered? Will you be remembered as supporting the oppressors, or supporting the oppressed? I truly hope it is the latter.

My friend Drew makes an incredible hot sauce that he calls 'Spirit Muds'. It's incredible and extremely unique I super enjoyed helping him brand his product and create a style + this pitch deck below. I really hope this product succeeds and becomes a household name one day.

Did this little illustration of my pal Adam. I've worked with him for the past 3+ years and he's been such a huge inspiration to me. He's moving on to new pastures now but I'll never forget our time working together. Godspeed, Adam.

A secret concept I'm working on - more to come in the future.

In 2012 I created a children's book character named Archibald (named after my Great Grand Uncle). He was a chicken that liked to go on adventures - that same year I met with my friend Tony Hale (Arrested Development) who loved Archibald, so we decided to put together a team to create the book. We were lucky enough to have Tony Biaggne join the team and lend his amazingly creative mind to the story. Our publisher Boxing Clever Publishing joined us in 2013 and provided my Co-Illustrator Misty Manley to work full time designing the look and feel of the book while I provided the characters. This has been a crazy ride full of ups and downs but I couldn't be happier with what we have created together.

Archibald's Next Big Thing is the extraordinary adventure of an extra-ordinary chicken named Archibald Strutter. His three brothers and one sister have each found their "Big Thing" (including a brother chicken who impressively grows human hair) and the only Big Thing Archibald has planned is what he's eating for lunch. This all changes when he receives a mysterious blue card that reads "YOUR BIG THING IS HERE!" So, accompanied by a friendly bee named BEE, Archibald takes the card and heads off on a fantastic journey in hopes of finding his NEXT BIG THING. It's a story that reminds us that, while looking for the next big thing isn't a bad thing, we should always remember that big and beautiful things are all around us...right NOW.
