My creative mo-jo left me a little last year. A bit of crochet and sewing and I made a 1940's hat and grew an avocado plant from seed and did some baking.

August

Remember  August? Well I am going to cram the whole of August in this post!!

We spent time in the garden, the cats joined us.
My giant sunflower and my smaller sunflowers did so well!

I always love walking around the Minster whenever I go to Halifax.

We spent a beautiful day at Brodsworth Hall.

This yellow begonia snook through into the rather marvellous Victorian bedding!

We have not been to Brodsworth for a while, we love visiting the house and the garden is so beautiful.

We found the church in the grounds was open so we popped in.

OK so Blogger has put the next lot of photos on in reverse so we start with inside the Hall ansd finish with inside the church!

Lovely tea and cake in the church.

And back to the Hall...

and now back inside the church!

I picked lots of blackberries on my local walks.

A day out in Saltaire with friends

A trip to the cinema and a lovely garden party (it was actually 1st September)

and a day out to Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire

Of course We did spend two lovely weeks at the Pines in North Wales and I will post a link to that holiday here when I've done it!
