ABOUT US
Educational and Industrial Testing Service (EdITS) started in a garage by the beach in 1962 with the idea to measure interests in careers. This foundation was the Career Occupational Preference Survey (COPS). Over time we realized the need for a comprehensive approach to career measurement, so we developed the Career Ability Placement Survey (CAPS) to measure abilities and the Career Orientation Placement and Evaluation Survey (COPES) to measure values. This led to the creation of the COPSystem and a larger headquarters in San Diego.
