Born and raised in Canada, Rachel’s family hails from England. She began acting at age five as an extra in a TV movie about Gloria Vanderbilt starring Angela Lansbury! A creative spirit, she performed on stage through high school, and attended the Fine Arts (painting) program at York University in Toronto, and University of Northumbria at Newcastle, England, until landing a dream job as a VJ on Muchmusic (Canada's MTV) improvising live, daily on national TV. She has lived in New York, Chicago and LA, hosted shows on VH1, TBS, CBS, NBC, among others, and acted in film, TV, and commercials. With over a decade as a host Rachel travelled extensively going backstage at major concert festivals and events and interviewing hundreds of musicians and celebrities.
She is known for being The Voice of VH1 on countless countdown shows and once filled in for Mike Rowe on ‘DIRTY JOBS’ to clean out a sludge tank.
Trained in Improv at the infamous Second City in Chicago and UCB LA, she has studied various acting techniques in New York and Los Angeles (The Chubbuck Technique). She regularly coaches with PJ Ochlan, among others, participates in the Deyan Masterclass series(2019,2022,2023) and recently attended a small group workshop with director Paul Alan Ruben.
She has narrated hundreds of audiobooks since 2016, and works with publishers such as Tantor, Macmillan, Lantern, Hachette, PRH, Dreamscape, among others. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, PANA and the APA.
Rachel lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son, yorkie and labrador pup. She is a seeker who loves learning how the mind works and better understanding the human experience and relationships, and can often be found listening to podcasts and audiobooks while doing the dishes.
